Obama and McCain vow to work together ….Like Nawaz Sharf and Asif Ali Zardari??

Barack Obama and McCain have decided to work together. It came only in the news when they gave a join statement after a meeting on Monday. They vowed to cooperate with eachother for the collective benefit of Americans.

It is a great gesture of American leaders after history making result of US  polls. They’ve given a message to the world that they are committed to not only ‘protect’ their country but are also determined to maintain its status of ’super power’ . And to accomplish these goals they are taking those steps that have never been taken before .

People of Islamic Republic of Pakistan also ‘excercised ‘ their right in Feburary 2008 and elected a government of their own choice . They voted against dictatorship and supported democratic elements and lawyers movement . They gave a message to the world that they wanted democracy in Pakistan in its true sense. They wanted to see ‘justice’ prevailing in their country . Another message was sent to the world by top leaders of Pakistan when they sat together and gave the gift of Murree Declaration . What happened with that Declaration is known by everyone now . ‘National’ goals were sidelined by ‘personal’ goals. Instead of justice “DEAL  DEAL ” was played  by the babies of deals.

Now Americans are witnessing quite the  same situation  in their country.Have Americans leaders LEARNT something from Pakistani leaders or they want to TEACH  them ??? :-)  ….

Our Two “Daughters” Are Missing …. Parents from Lahore

While going through today’s newspaper I came across following announcement…

Talash -e- Ghumshuda

Five days before Farzana and Rehana ran away from the house where they were working. Their parents are extremely worried .If anyone has any news inform us immediately.

————-

Daily Jang 13th Nov,2008 ( pg# 4)

Many of the readers  must have read this news while havng sympathy for the parents as it is reported that girls ‘ran away” .  Who among us have soft feelings for those ‘cursed’ girls ???… They were teen-agers or may be in their early twenties.  Why were they working alone  in some one’s house at the first place? Does our religion permit us to leave our young girls in the house of strangers?? Who knows what happened to them that made them to leave the house.

There can be following reasons behind their this extreme step.

1- They eloped with someone.

2- They were not happy there because of the behaviour of their masters.

3- They wanted to cross the ‘poverty’ line.

If it was the first case then who is responsible for that??? those girls ??? Was it a wise decision of their parents to send them alone to work place where they could not check their activities? Parents duty is not only to bring them to this world but also to provide them proper guidance and supervision.

Secondly It is very common practice in our society that we don’t consider those people human who work in our homes. We treat them like animals . From physical punishment to sexual harassment , these servants have to bear what their masters do with them fearlessly.

Thirdly May be they were sick of their low living standard. Hard work and meagre salaries. No flour , no electricity , no new clothes , no proper food and no peace of mind at their homes are enough factors to make them to cross all limits.

Our society is responsible of such acts taken by these poor girls . My sympathies are with them. May Allah keep them in His protection and make life easy for them.

Revival of Commissioners in Pakistan …Raj Karey ga Commissioner baci rahay naa koi!!!

FINALLY prayers of DMG ( District Management Group) in Pakistan have been answered. The most previliged group of DMG ‘tolerated’ the power at grass root levels for almost eight years. LFO ( Legal Framework Order) made many ‘competent’ persons to treat PSP ( Police Service of Pakistan) as their beloved . It was not that easy for Deputy Commissioners to spend NIGHT of eight years . They mentally never accepted that they were DCO’s. I remember few years back I met with a woman. When I inquired her about what her husband was, she replied that her husband was Deputy Commissioner. It made my eyes wide open as I had ‘chewed’ devolution plan while I was preparing for my exam. I said in low voice that ma’m there were no more DC’s . She replied with a deep smile and said ,” oho Musharraf ne chaley hee jana hae ” So it seems as at homes all DCO’s used to ask their wives to call them Commissioner Saab :-)

As predicted by that ma’m and many other people like her , Commissioner Raj is back ,though with some less powers. Most probably first they will ask their secretaries to bring the list of the people who made a call to console them at the time of LFO. Then they will reward  them generously by keeping all rules and regulations aside as Mr. Farooq ullah Anayat has been made DIG for his SERVICES during imprisonment of President Zardari. They will call DIG to ask ” kum shum theek chal rea ? ( Is everything is working properly)” . Then there will be appointments by ’strictly’ observing the merit. So will there be any difference at grass root level?  :-) If you ask a layman he ‘ll reply ” O jee O vee Chudary saab c tae aae vee chudhary saab saano tae aata chahi daa aae .” For them first they were DC ‘O’ and now they are “O” DC :-)

I hope this change in system is not only ’change’ but a change for good ….:-)

Khadim-e-Aala Punjab Mian Shehbaz Sharif

For last 2-3 days I’m reading an advertisement of Speech and Essay Writing Competition in Punjab at markaz , district, tehsil and division levrl.A handsome amount of money has been reserved for this task. I’m sad for the fact that Punjab government is again moving away from ‘core issues’. Punjab is not in need of these competition. These are secondary things. Primarily there should be an education system of an international standard.Syllabus that meets with the requirement of ‘today’. We need SCHOOLS . Schools where teachers ‘exist’. Schools where there are ’students’……It seems as Khadim-e-Aala Punjab wants to wash out the image of Pervaiz Elahi who raised the slogan ” Parha Likha Punjab” . Mr.Elahi really did some work in this sphere. Appointment of teachers at a very large scale , free books for students and new schools in distant areas were definitely praise worthy steps of Muslim League (Q) in Punjab.
I personally believe that Mr. Shehbaz Sharif is among the sensible persons in ML (N) .His last tenure as PM of Punjab is still being remembered in good words. He should not blindly follow the ‘instructions’ of anti-Q elements that have surrounded him…
Khadim-e-Aala Punjab There is no harm in CONTINUING the good work . :-)

Barack ‘Hussain’ Obama in PAKISTAN

5th November 2008 marked the success of a ‘black’ man for the top post in USA. Americans have given a message to the world that in spite of sinking ship of their economy and ongoing war against terrorism, they are steadily moving towards ‘United States of America’ in its true sense.
The way in which Pakistani media covered this remarkable victory of “Americans and Americans only” has once again made it a laughing stock. Geo TV that has a large number of viewer ship in the country could not stop it self to add “Hussain” with the name of Barack Obama . It was just a continuation of finding anything ‘controversial’ in nothing. Do they think that word ‘Hussain’ between Barack and Obama can change USA’s policy towards Islamic world in general and Pakistan in particular??? All other news channels were also reporting the reaction of masses in Pakistan in the same irresponsible and illogical manner. A layman’s view was also HIGHLIGHTED who knew nothing except that a new person had been selected as the president of his ‘enemy’ America.
It has now deeply rooted in our psychology that if someone sneezes in USA , it definitely has some connection with Pakistan . Innocent Pakistani’s, under the same notion, celebrated CHANGE in USA as change in their own lives. It reminded me of the time when Pakistani’s celebrated victory of Sri Lanka in Cricket World Cup of 1996. Reason behind it was only that Sri Lanka defeated India in Semi Final and hindered the way of Indian team to ‘approach’ Lahore for Final match. It was exactly like Bandar ki baraat pe Ahmaq naachay. So, the victory of a ‘black’ man, who accidentally happened to have ‘hussain’ in his name, was pretty enough to make Pakistani’s to chant slogans of CHANGE. We as a nation need to be more objective in our approach now. American foreign policy has never been related to the result of polls in election. President of USA only gets the BRIEFING with open eyes and ears but zipped lips.

Forward Block and Forward Policy…

From last few months we almost daily read about ‘forward blocks’ in political news. In game , term forward block brings some positive words in mind like ‘ energetic , attackers to win , defenders but in political game , forward block does not play any constructive role. It does not play for anyone but fir itself…Forward block in politics is like a rolling stone . You can only predict where it will be but will never be sure about exactly where it is . When any political party tries to strengthen its grip on political affairs , it is afraid of ‘emergance’ of FORWARD BLOCK’. In last few months ,politics in Pakistan greatly suffered coz of the existance of forward blocks in different parties. It was due to these blocks that no one could predict what actually was going on in politics. One thing is crystal clear  that these forward blocks PLAYED for their very own benefits. And result of their intrigues is infront of nation . At national level this game of theirs has slowed down but in Punjab they are agaiin gaining the momentam. So Punjab has still to suffer alot .

Pakistan has to face another FORWARD i.e Forward policy. America has DESIGNED a forward policy to curb ‘terrorist elements’ in Pakistan. America is about to implement its new policy against that state which has been an ally of it when Washington was doing the experiment of ‘pre-emptive war doctrine’. Now for  her allies , she has come up with ‘forward policy’.

American ‘forward policy’ gives all rights to it to do rape with the ‘national policy’ of any country. It gives them FREEDOM TO ATTACK and where they attack , victims have no FREEDOM OF SPEECH. I believe that all these ‘pre-emptive war doctrine ‘ and ‘ Forward policy’ are nothing but an attempt to hinder the way of a ‘multi-polar world’ . For them onlly Americans are INNOCENT not the children and women of the rest of the world.

May Allah save Pakistan from both of forward blocks and forward policy !!1
